Convinced that art and healthcare can go hand in hand and benefit as many people as possible, the GHU Paris psychiatrie & neurosciences and the Fondation Carmignac are presenting "Le Musée valise: La Mer imaginaire", a miniature travelling museum designed as a contemporary curiosity cabinet for hospital staff and the general public.

A travelling version of the exhibition La Mer imaginaire (The Imaginary Sea), to be presented in 2021 at the Villa Carmignac on the island of Porquerolles under the curatorship of Chris Sharp, the Musée valise is conceived as a small mobile theatre where each scene reveals new works. To the rhythm of a choreographed opening of the object, works by Miquel Barceló, Bianca Bondi, Jean Painlevé and Yves Klein are revealed in a play of light, sound and moving images. Secret mechanisms inspired by magicians, precision electronics hidden in the hinges and a removable screen all contribute to the staging of this miniature museum disguised as a wooden chest.
