The exhibition will be held at the same time as the Salon de Montrouge 2025, with which Les Jardiniers is collaborating, and the artists selected for the occasion are all alumni of the Salon.



A few words from the curator: Adrien Van Melle - Nehama 



I was reminded of a number of aspects of the Montrouge salons in recent years. A number of broad themes seem to coexist - and this has been confirmed by leafing through the catalogues of the last six or seven editions, of which I myself am a member - firstly, the primacy of political and societal commitment, but also, at the same time, and sometimes in the same artists, a desire to show colour, to highlight gesture and to rediscover a simplicity and childlike pleasure in plastic creation without, however, offering an empty message - quite the contrary.



‘Facétie' is defined by the Académie française dictionary as follows: A joke, act or statement intended to entertain maliciously, to make people laugh without malice.


It's not always about amusement in this exhibition or with these artists, but there's a youthful courage in daring to give such prominence to form.
